  • Coming Spring 2015: "A River Between Us"
Former Oregon state representative and current water resources activist Jason A. Atkinson is currently producing "A River Between Us," a film serving as a call to action for restorative efforts in the Klamath River Basin. Kim Ogren, Aaron Wolf's PhD Geography student, won the Outstanding Student Oral Presentation Award at the recent American Water Resources Association (AWRA) Annual Conference! Well deserved! Kim is doing her PhD dissertation research on the Columbia River Treaty.
  • Grant Livingston Thesis Video
Water Resources Engineering graduate student Grant Livingston, with help from Undergraduate Intern Gareth Baldrica-Franklin, has been compiling a video outlining the construction and research efforts involving the OSU-Benton Country Green Stormwater Infrastructure Research Facility. If you are interested in the project, the video will be posted to the IWW website in the coming weeks. 
  • Lights! Camera! Water! coming this February!
The IWW is proud to announce its next white paper series: Lights! Camera! Water! This 8 issue white paper series will be posted biweekly beginning in early February, and will ultimately culminate in a film series in May. The paper series will take a look at the various portrayals of water throughout various movie mediums, from documentary to dramatic, from short films to feature length productions. Once every issue has been released, the IWW will be hosting a film series showing several of the films that are featured. More information in the weeks to follow! 
  • HJ Andrews Experimental Forest Long-Term Ecological Research (LTER) Symposium 
The HJ Andrews Experimental Forest LTER Symposium will take place on Thursday, January 29 at 9:00 am in the Memorial Union. There will be oral presentations, posters and time for lunch. There is no fee to attend, but registration must be completed by January 22.   • Third Annual College of Forestry Western Forestry Graduate Research Symposium (WFGRS)
The OSU College of Forestry (CoF) is proud to announce that the 3rd annual COF WFGRS will take place from April 30 - May 1, 2015. The symposium will allow graduate students to share ideas, communicate research and celebrate the diverse concepts of forestry.   • Hydrophiles Rock Creek Watershed Tour
The Rock Creek watershed provides Corvallis with about 1/3 of its drinking water. Join the Hydrophiles for an afternoon tour of the watershed and drinking water treatment plant on Friday, January 23 from 2:00-5:00 pm. Transportation details coming soon!
