In Memoriam

Gail Achterman, former Director of INR, OSU faculty member, Portland lawyer and lifelong public servant passed away this Saturday due to cancer at 62.  Gail has touched the lives of many people at OSU and she will be missed.  Memorial service information.  Oregonian obituary.

Water Community Announcements

  • An early congratulations to Sarah Sheldrick for winning the Pacific Northwest Regional Impact Award for her documentary film *Water Before Anything* funded by a USGS 104 (b) mini-grant. The award will be announced on February 14th at NIWR 2012 Annual Meeting.  Sarah is teaching a class on documentary film in water resources through the WRGP program this term.
