  • Well Guidelines 2nd edition now available & Cost-Benefit Analysis

OSU engineering alumni Steve Schneider has recently released the second edition of "Water Supply Well Guidelines for use in Developing Countries," which is now available. Steve Schneider is a past speaker in the Water Resources Graduate Program seminar series and an Oregon-based well drilling contractor. The second edition includes a brief summary of a recently published Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) by Jaynie Whinnery. PDF's of both documents are available for download from:

Also available from that site is a CBA spreadsheet wherein you can enter information on your own country or customize other parameters and have it compute the results for you. Hard copies of the Well Guidelines are also available. They are 'field friendly' designed. Feedback on both the CBA and the Well Guidelines is encouraged.
