  • OPB Think Out Loud: What is the Value of Nature?
A recent OPB radio talk show episode highlights the debate about the intrinsic value of nature versus the value of nature for humans. The segment features Dr. Michael Nelson, an OSU professor of philosophy and environmental ethics and Cathy Macdonald, the Oregon director of conservation programs for the Nature Conservancy.   • Decagon Devices Demo at OSU
If you are interested in irrigation management innovations, Lauren Crawford from Decagon Devices will be visiting Corvallis for a demonstration of some of the company's new technologies. The event will take place on March 18th at 2:00 pm. If you are interested in attending, please contact Charles Hillyer at hillyer@engr.orst.edu.
  • Intermediate HECRAS Class
The USGS is holding a five day course on River Analysis System Unsteady Flow and Advanced Topics for Hydraulic Modeling from March 23 to March 27, 2015. The course will be held at Portland State University. More information can be found here, or by contacting Glenn Hess atgwhess@usgs.gov.
  • Abstracts for American Fisheries Society Annual Meeting Due
