  • Phil Mote to Present an Overview of the 2014 U.S. National Climate Assessment

The Assessment has been in the news since its release on May 6.  Come learn more about the report and its findings from Phil Mote, Director of the Oregon Climate Change Research Center.  Dr. Mote co-authored the report’s Northwest chapter and served on the report's overall advisory committee.  His seminar can be viewed in person in Kidder 202, or live online at http://live.oregonstate.edu  .  The seminar is co-sponsored by the Geography program in the College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences, the Oregon Climate Change Research Institute, and the Willamette Water 2100 Project .


  • OSU Water Resources Graduate Program approved for Peace Corps Masters International progam

The WRGP at OSU has recently been approved for the PCMI and joins the Horticulture, Forestry, College of Engineering, Crop and Soil Science, Applied Economics, and Public Health programs at OSU in this affiliation. Dr. Todd Jarvis is the PCMI Coordinator for the WRGP.   • Congratulations to Hydrophiles on an Outstanding Water Research Symposium!

Congratulations to the Hydrophiles for organizing and conducting an
outstanding event, the Water Research Symposium, on Monday May 12 at
the CH2M Hill Alumni Center. There was an impressive array of oral and poster presentations.
Attendees included students from Washington, Oregon and Idaho.
