Water Community Announcements

Hydrophiles-now is the time to buy your new Hydrophiles t-shirt ($15) and/or hoodie sweatshirt ($28).  Check out the design on Facebook and give you order to Pat Burns (patburns937@gmail.com).

The National Academy of Engineering held an on-line poll to determine the Grand Challenges for Engineering.  Providing Access to Clean Water was one of the top challenges. Here at OSU, WATER has topped the list of Grand Challenges for first year Chemical, Biological, and Environmental Engineering students for the past two years.

OSU Water in the News

Congratulations to Brendan Galipeau, Kim Ogren, and Jacob Petersen-Perlman for winning Best Student Poster Presentation at The Oregon Water Conference 2011: Evaluating and Managing Water Resources in a Climate of Uncertainty.  Their poster was titled, Capitalizing on Uncertainty: Use of Scenario Development and Planning in Regional Dialogues of the Columbia River Treaty.  TOWC 2011 now has a permanent site with all the conference materials online at Scholars Archive.
