OSU hosts three water-related seminar series and one film series each year.

In addition to these series, the IWW sponsors additional lectures during the year. Some recent events include:

    • January 22, 3:30-5:00 p.m., MU 206. The Problem of Water: Misallocation and Mismanagement. Speaker: Gary D. Libecap, Donald Bren Distinguished Professor, Corporate Environmental Management, Bren School of Environmental Science and Management, University of California, Santa Barbara, National Bureau of Economic Research Hoover Institution. Sponsored by the Institute for Water and Watersheds and the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics.

    • April 21. Kevin McRay, Executive Director, National Groundwater Association, America's Groundwater Dependence: Trends and Forecasts in a Changing Marketplace. Presented as a Webinar.
    • May 2, 4-6 p.m., MU 208. Cynthia Barnett, journalist, environmental historian and author of Mirage: Florida and the Vanishing Waters of the Eastern U.S..
    • April 23, 2:00-4:00 p.m., OSU Memorial Union 208. Living Waters: Connection and Separation in Water, from Physical, Legal, Political, and Spiritual Perspectives. Speakers include: Scott Leibowitz, Aaron Wolf, Benjamin Barnett.

    • April 25-26. Ray Newmyer, Hydrogeologist& Hydrophilanthropist, NWP Drilling & Consulting. Two lectures on: Drilling Through Cultures and Drill Rig Applications for Hydrologists.
